THE ARCHIVE OF UNREALIZED DREAMS AND VISIONS
”Man Eaters”, ”The Petrified Prince” and ”Love without Lovers”. Titles from Ingmar Bergman films that never got made. In 2012, Marcus Lindeen was the first artist to be granted permission to create a play based on never before seen film and theater scripts, notebooks and sketches from legendary Swedish director’s private work archive. ”The Archive of Unrealizable Dreams and Visions” opened at Stockholms Stadsteater (Stockholm City Theater). It consisted only of fragments from the unfinished material in the Bergman archive, and was performed by six actors who tried to bring life into the failed fictions of a master.
The production opened at Stockholms Stadsteater (Stockholm City Theater) on the 27th of May 2012.
